StreetCart ("we," "us," "our") operates a hyperlocal fashion discovery platform that connects users with nearby shops for product discovery and pickup. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how you can control it, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").
| Data | Source | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Phone number | WhatsApp login / magic link | To identify your account and send order/reservation updates |
| Location (approximate/precise) | Device GPS, entered address | To show nearby shops via our PostGIS-based location matching |
| Reservation & session history | Your activity on the platform | To manage pickups, prevent double-booking, show order history |
| Shop inventory images & operating hours | Shop owners (not end users) | Processed via AI to extract product listings and enforce reservation timing rules |
| Messages sent via WhatsApp | WhatsApp Cloud API | To process your requests, confirm reservations, prevent duplicate processing |
